Take back your life, get organized, & reset for the year
to get a running start on the best year yet.
A simple way to RESET your New Year!
Happy New Year!! Whew, 2024 sure did fly by, but man was it a good one. Of course we had many blessings met with many challenges, but we made it out alive. The New Year symbolizes a fresh start & fresh possibilities. This is the ultimate time to reflect, reset, rewire, restructure & recharge.
As everyone around us makes major resolutions, let’s take a minute to decide if doing so is right for us. Oftentimes, we tend to make unrealistic or too big of resolutions that we hyper fixate on for 2 months, & then quit. Quitting leaves us feeling defeated, unsatisfied, & as a failure. If you are the type of person who sets resolutions & upholds them, then that is awesome, go you!…But if you’re like me & end up falling short of your resolution every year, maybe it’s time to take a different approach. Join me in resetting our New Year in a simple manner, step-by-step, slowly, & with less pressure to make the grand things happen.

Simplify your Reset & Take Away the Pressures of a Major Resolution
5 Steps to Simplify your New Year Reset & Make this Year One for the Books!
Reflect on the Previous Year…
Grab yourself a journal & some coffee & reflect on the ups & downs of 2024. Writing it down takes it from your scrambled mind & helps to let it go, free up some mental space, & let’s you visually see everything at once…
What did you achieve in 2024?
What goals did you set that were met?
What goals did you set that weren’t met?
Are those goals important to you this coming year?
What were some great things that happened in 2024?
What was the hardest challenge you faced?
Reset the Chaos & Start a new…
Making changes doesn’t have to be a grand gesture or be announced to the world! I find it to be true that the less I speak of the things I’m going to do…the more I actually DO them. It takes 21 says to create a habit. Mind you, I live a very chaotic & unorganized lifestyle. I strive everyday to simplify my day to day. This can be as simple as adding a key hook so I have a specific spot for my keys & spend less time looking for them, or as big as resetting my entire home.
What things are bringing you chaos & how can you eliminate them?
What small steps can you take day to day to reset & simplify your day?
Make a list of all the areas you want to declutter.
Out with the old & unused.
What goals do you want to set your sites on?
Rewire your Mind…
What was important to you last year versus what is important to you now? For me, I struggle to focus & stay on task which left me falling short all of 2024. I recently started reading a book called “Switch on Your Brain” written by Dr. Caroline Leaf. She basically speaks of how we can literally rewire our brains & change our lives. I have always believed our mental thoughts cultivate our physical lives, our brains are immensely powerful but I don’t yet know how to tap into that power. I am aiming my sites on changing the way I view & react to things by rewiring my thinking & making my thoughts become my reality.
Restructure your Life…
Organization is KEY to living a less stressful life. Stress can create massive chaos & keep you spiraling out of control. While we can’t control everything that happens, we can control the things we can do to make life a little simpler. Take this time to restructure & bring organization to your life.
Get a calendar & plan out your year
Get your budgets under control
Do a digital clean out
Find ways to organize your home ( mail station, drop station, home office, etc.)
Create routines you can ACTUALLY follow
Recharge & Get Ready…
Finally, the last step…RECHARGE. It is proven to be beneficial to recharge our brains so that we can gain mental clarity, prevent burnout, improve productivity, reduce stress, & so much more. We can’t make anything happen if we are pouring from an empty cup! Take this time to implement some self-care, allow yourself time to be grateful for the blessings & let go of the negative. You made it out of 2024…let’s make 2025 a year to remember!
